What is Landslide?
Landslides are mass wastage of soil that slides down a steep slope or occurs from the movement of rocks beneath the surface or due to gravity.
The most known causes of Landslide in Malaysia is due to poor drainage, poor construction, earthquake, which is not as common but the biggest is heavy rainfall.
But since it's the least informed disaster worldwide, most people do not know how to react to it.

Our client for the research and experience center is jKR also known as the Malaysian public works department it is a federal government department in Malaysia that's responsible for buildings and maintenance of public infrastructure.
Their vision is to be more creative innovative and technological advances within the country. Through my research, I found that JKR has been trying to bring awareness to people on how to prepare for evacuation if a landslide occurs but that is only thru the article.
Therefore working with JKR as our client is very suitable and our target market would be tourists, families, institutions but overall just the general public.

The given site is located at Jalan ss14/1 Subang. As of now owned by proton Sin Siang Hin. it is well vegetated since plants are surrounding the perimeter. For sensory, there are some issues as it is very noisy. It's situated next to another petrol station which can imminent smell.
For Accessibility,
The site has a junction which causes a lot of traffic but it is accessible thru one way or by walking.
There are multiple transportation ways to access this area including train bus or by cars.
Some of the strengths of the site are it has good drainage, it's near public transport and it is at a noticeable location which is at the corner of the entry road.
The site also has some weaknesses such as it can be noisy, poor vegetation in the surrounding area also The junction causes a lot of traffic and the biggest issue is, it is very dirty.
But considering all the issues and problems, the possible solution could be is to bring awareness within people through interactive programs, therefore, a research and experience center has been proposed.

Facade
The lounge is allocated to the left from the entrance opposite the reception. As can be seen. these have been placed strategically near the entrance so that it's more user-friendly. Throughout the design, implementation of the feeling of being underground has been implemented so that the visitors can subconsciously feel the fear.
